Baya, why we need remove the rd_name and rd_fname from Messages files ? (http://engine.rodovid.org/wk?title=Rd_Engine:News&action=edit&section=2)
These variables/labels ARE IN USE on SEARCH in other places, as in SET of Father and Mother... and family edit...

Baya, the new FullNameAtBirth and the use of "//" as position of surname is very good ! But this simbol "//" is used in links (http://...) Is it not a problem ?
It's solve my previous problem to qualify same names with Jr, Júnior, Filho, Sobrinho, Neto, etc...
If "Other Names" will be used in names, trees, or pages, it can be relocated to the end of names, after "Other family names", between parenthesis '(' and ')' too ? Thanks! Morais 19:25, 3 March 2006 (EET)

You will add the _MARNM field previously noticed as "recognize not 5.5 structure types _MARNM" ? :-)

  • http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~pmcbride/gedcom/55gcch2.htm I think that in this case Gedcom is more apprisiate. They date description contains info about dates. On monday I add wiki messages. Mark "killed" will be auto moved into extinfo during editing. Until record is not edited - 'killed' mark moved to ext-info during preview generation.

The en:Moses O'Byrne example has TWO BIRTH dates... with different places... I think that is one as BIRT used in rodovid events and another as BIRT used in gedcom events! Is it correct ?
This person has many others PERSONAL EVENTS not listed previously in Allmessages file and I added these events in personevents of pt.rodovid.org ! But, now, what difference between event '...' (...=outro already existing in pt.rodovid) and 'EVNT' (EVNT=... new in engine and en.rodovid.org) ? Is the same use/result ? Morais 00:33, 7 March 2006 (EET)

Baya, where is new event types for person and family ? I find in engine, en. and pt. and not found values of new types...
The Rd_personevents and Rd_familyevents wasn't updated in none db ?
Do you have another field/variable with all events (person and family) in use now to translate ?

What occur with old event types not existing in new/actual event types ?
Do you converted old codes to new codes in db ? Ex:
Person: BAPT = CHR / ... = EVEN
Family: SEPA = DIVF / WEDD = ???? (not existing now for religious cerimonial of wedding/married)

How to change order of event types in combo-box ?
I like reorder moving to top/first very common event use and in same order of real life...
I changed order in personevents but not affected the combo-box order... Ex:
Family: ENGA / MARR / DIVF / DIV / ANUL / MARB / MARC / MARL / MARS / CENS / EVEN
Person: BIRT / ADOP / EDUC / _MILT / GRAD / OCCU / EMIG / IMMI / NATI / NATU / RETI / WILL / DEAT / BURI / CREM / RELI / CHR / CHRA / FCOM / CONF / ORDN / _EXCM / BAPM / BARM / BASM / BLES / BAPL / CONL / ENDL / SLGC / SLGS / PROP / RESI / IDNO / SSN / DSCR / TITL / CENS / NCHI / NMR / CAST / PROB / _FA1 / _FA2 / _FA3 / _FA4 / _FA5 / _FA6 / EVEN . Hi Baya !

The new lines type and color is very good, but need any adjust for parents' marriage of same tree !

Please, see my family ASSEIRO tree at Rodovid PT: pt:Special:Tree/24595

Case one:

  • João Teiga, of III generation, is married with Ana Cameirão, of IV generation... but he don't have name of wife in his tree... and she don't have the nome of he in her tree...
  • new line of their children is linked with ALL other lines of families between twice !

Case two:

  • Ana Teiga, of IV generation, is married with Antonio Teiga, of V generation
  • same problem occur with lines...

In this cases, I can't identify more WHO is PARENTS and WHO is CHILD of each one... :-(

My families has another cases of parents (PRIMOS = ? brother in law ?) married...

   and link to parents will be RED colored.
Check rd_drawpairnearonhighlight in your preferences
