The purpose of this section of Rodovid is to discuss the development of the Rodovid Engine, which generates family trees on Rodovid;
suggest enhancements and new features; and, of course,
do tests and try-outs with genealogical records about both real and nonexistent people.

- March 12, 2026
- bug-tracker restored as mantis.rodovid.org. Old link bugzilla redirects to new domain. Usage are very appreciate.
- default skin switched to "Timeless" – good responsive skin, especially for mobiles. Skin for registered account is not changed. Old "Vector" is the best to work on desktop.
- March 9, 2026 – from today user permissions are the same across all localisations.
- March 6, 2026 – all localizations were successfully upgraded to mediawiki 1.39.17
- March 1, 2026 – Today, at 16:30 UTC the next upgrade step will be started.
- During the upgrade, the database will be locked to read-only mode.
- ETA: depends on localisation. On average – a couple of hours per localisation.
- February 12, 2026 – Some protection from unlimited anonymous grabbing added. If you use bots, please follow robots.txt announcements.
- February 6, 2026 – MediaWiki was upgraded to the verson 1.10.4.
- February 2026 — The Rodovid Foundation has published its Income and Expenditure Report for Q4 2025.
- December 2021 — After 16 years of work Gmail decided that Rodovid sends spam to Rodovid users and stopped accepting mails from Rodovid server. I highly recommend to use Gmail just for gaming and other temporal activity :)
