Help talk:Policies and guidelines

Help! Sorry, I'm a newbie at this site and I've looked everywhere I can think of on the site for some answers. Is there a page that explains how to read the charts (for instance, what does a dotted connecting line connecting individuals, instead of a solid line, indicate?). Where can I find sources to review the entries that contributors provide? How can I contact contributors? I can be contacted directly at Molokaifathersoccer@yahoo.com Thanks in advance, Steve -- Fathersoccer 23:04, 09 October 2015 (EEST)
- A few answers :
- The dotted lines are a new feature (see here, 10 September). When you are editing the record of a person and connecting relatives through the "Relationships" tab, you can choose the nature of that connection (documented or not) by selecting an option in that editing tab (at the end of the line for each relative). The type of line in the charts is determined by that option.
- If you want to know the recent contributions of other members, you can look at the page of Recent changes for the English version. On each line you can see the name of the modified page, the hour, the name of the user who did the change, followed by "talk" and "contribs". "Talk" brings you to the contact page of that user (where you can dialogue through public messages), and "contribs" gives you the list of that user's contributions.
- The most active users there can be contacted on their talk page by adding questions or remarks : User talk:EvansKnight, or User talk:Koavf
- For general-purpose talk in the English version, you can leave a message on en:Rodovid EN:Community Portal.
